Haukeliseter Mountain Lodge is centrally located along the E134 at Haukelifjell, 1000 meters above sea level. The Mountain Lodge is the gateway to Hardangervidda National Park in the north, and Ryfylkeheiene and Setesdalsheiene in the south.
The opportunities for activities at Haukeliseter are many; hiking, alpine, -randonnée and -cross-country skiing, snow kiting, dog sledding, kayaking and canoeing, hunting and fishing, and relaxing in the lavvo or the outdoor spa.
Besides the spectacular view and nature, the food served is a good reason to visit us. We serve traditional, Norwegian food with a focus on local ingredients. We also have our very own bakery. Daily you can buy buns, bread, and other delicious baked goods.
Haukeliseter Mountain Lodge is always open - every day, all year round.
The reception is open from 08 am until 09.30 pm every day.
We serve food in the restaurant from 12 am until 8 pm on Sunday to Thursday, and until 9 pm on Friday and Saturday (until 9 pm every day during the high season).

At Haukeliseter we offer a breakfast buffet consisting of freshly baked bread, local ingredients, and other favourites such as eggs, cereal and oatmeal.
Mountain menu
The mountain menu is our à la carte menu and consists of several different dishes, including vegetarian options. Our guests especially appreciate our homemade meatballs, sour cream porridge and soup of the day which are served as a buffet; eat as much as you like.
The three course dinner is served every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the year. During high season, three course dinner is served several times a week. Must be pre-ordered due to limited capacity.
