Rauhelleren is a staffed lodge in the heart of Hardangervidda National Park. Situated at 1,221 meters above sea level, it is a perfect base for hiking, skiing, and experiencing the stunning Norwegian wilderness. The lodge is known for its warm hospitality, delicious homemade food, and comfortable accommodations, making it an ideal stop for both families and seasoned adventurers when walking fra cabin to cabin.

Practical information before visiting
Accommodation: Rauhelleren offers cozy rooms with bunk beds and dormitories. Guests can enjoy a comfortable stay with all necessary amenities, including shared bathrooms and drying facilities for wet gear. Bedding is available for rent, or guests can bring their own sleeping bag liner.
Dining: The lodge serves traditional Norwegian meals made from locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet, pack a lunch for your hike, and return to a delicious three-course dinner in the evening. Coffee and homemade pastries are also available during the day.
Activities: Rauhelleren is an excellent starting point for exploring Hardangervidda. In summer, marked trails lead to beautiful lakes, vast plateaus, and mountain peaks. Fishing, canoeing, and wildlife spotting are popular activities. During winter, the area is perfect for ski touring, with well-marked routes and breathtaking scenery.
How to get here: Rauhelleren is accessible by foot, ski, or bike. The most common routes start from Dyranut/Stigstuv, Halne, Mårbu, or Heinseter. During the summer season, a boat service across Halnefjorden can shorten the approach from the west. In winter, skiing is the only way to reach the lodge. Most common is to walk/ski cabin to cabin when visiting Rauhelleren.
Opening times: The lodge is open during the summer and winter seasons. Summer season typically runs from late June to mid-September, while the winter season is from late March to mid-April. It is recommended to check exact dates in "åpningstider" before planning your trip.

Cancellation policy
The following terms apply to booking, cancellation, and changes for our staffed lodges:
Free cancellation for all bookings up to 8 days before arrival without any charge.
(Example: A stay on Friday must be canceled by Thursday the week before, no later than 23:59.)
Cancellations made 0-7 days before arrival will be charged in full.
Cancellations within 0-7 days should be reported to the lodge/association as soon as possible.
Storage of Personal Information
When you book accommodation, we store the following personal details:
Full name, address, email address, phone number, company (if applicable).
We process your data in accordance with the applicable GDPR regulations.
We also store information about which bed you have booked, the time of your visit, the total number of people in your group, and the price category each individual is registered under.
