At Finsehytta, you can join guided tours to some of the most beautiful spots in the area. Whether you prefer a leisurely snowshoe hike or a challenging ski tour, our guide will ensure a safe and memorable experience.
Based on weather conditions, snow conditions, and your preferences, we can tailor the tour to help you make the most of your day in the mountains. Below, you'll find two popular tour options, but we can also adjust the route and content as needed.
Tour 1: Snowshoeing to Lille Finsenut or Jomfrunut
Experience winter at Finse on snowshoes! The tour takes you to Lille Finsenut or Jomfrunut, where we explore frozen waterfalls and admire stunning snow formations. After trekking to the top, you'll be rewarded with an impressive view of the majestic Hardangerjøkulen.
This relaxing tour lasts between 3 and 5 hours—perfect for unwinding and enjoying the tranquility of nature. Snowshoes are available for rent.
Tour 2: Ski Tour to Hardangerjøkulen glacier and Søre Kongsnut
For the adventure seekers, join a ski tour to Hardangerjøkulen, passing through Blåisen and up to Søre Kongsnut. Get ready for a challenge or two, but in return, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views over large parts of southwestern Norway.
This tour takes 5-7 hours and is a perfect opportunity to explore the incredible landscape around Finse. Bring your own skis—either mountain skis or alpine touring skis.

Meet the guide
Ade is originally from Scotland, but has over 30 years of experience as a guide in some of the world’s most impressive mountain regions, from the Alps to the Rockies, the Himalayas to the Andes, and now in Norway. He has a passion for sharing the beautiful nature with others and ensuring that participants feel safe, regardless of their skill level.
