Welcome to Finsehytta
Finsehytta is a magnificent starting point for hikes going both southwards Hardangervidda, or further into beautifull Skarvheimen. The cabin is nicely located between Hardangerjøkulen and Hallingskarvet. With the train stopping almost at our door, Finse is the place where you can enjoy cross country skiing almost to the end of May. In summertime you can enjoy trips on Rallarvegen, guided tours on the glacier, and hike from cabin to cabin. Finse is also an excellent base for daytrips in the areas nearby.

How to get to Finse
Summer and Winter the only way to Finse is by train. The cabin is about a 10 minutes walk/skiing from the station (necessary to use skis or snowshoes when snow). The trains go from both Bergen and Oslo. If you are driving a car from east, we recommend to park in Geilo. Are you driving from west you can park your car at Voss. Take the train the rest of the way.
