Location: Solheimstulen is located at the end of Jønndalen in Uvdal, Numedal, at the foot of Hardangervidda National Park.
Accommodation: The lodge offers 60 beds in 2- and 4-person rooms, with dedicated rooms available for guests with dogs. Toilets and showers are located in the hallway outside the rooms.
Dining: A 3-course dinner is served daily during the high season, along with a breakfast buffet from 08:00. Guests can prepare their own packed lunch and fill their thermos. The lodge has a fully licensed bar and serves homemade meals using high-quality ingredients.
Activities: Solheimstulen is an excellent starting point for hiking, skiing, fishing, and cycling in the surrounding areas and on Hardangervidda. Marked summer trails and winter routes lead to Mårbu, Rauhelleren, Åan, and Imingfjell.
Getting There: The lodge is accessible by road year-round. The entrance is signposted from Fv. 40 at Dagalifjell, with access near Uvdal Skisenter. Public transport options include a bus to Hagankrysset near Uvdal Skisenter or a train to Geilo. The lodge can assist with transportation if needed.
Season: The lodge is open during peak seasons. Please check the current opening hours under "åpningstider" before planning your visit.
Booking: It is recommended to book accommodation and meals in advance. Dinner reservations are also available for non-staying guests.
The following terms apply to booking, cancellation, and changes for our staffed lodges:
Free cancellation for all bookings up to 8 days before arrival without any charge. (Example: A stay on Friday must be canceled by Thursday the week before, no later than 23:59.) Cancellations made 0-7 days before arrival will be charged in full. Cancellations within 0-7 days should be reported to the lodge/association as soon as possible. Storage of Personal Information
