Reindalseter Turisthytte is a beautiful mouintain hut in the heart of Tafjordfjella and has been welcoming mountain hikers since 1936.

About Reindalseter
Facilities
The lodge has 54 bunks, in two-bunk and four-bunk rooms, a larger room and a dormitory.
All bunks have duvets and pillows with covers. Please use your own hut sack. It is not alowed to use own sleeping bag. Bedclothes also are available for rent at the reception desk.
The lodge has a diesel generator (220 VAC). Nonetheless, it's wise to have a torch in your pack, because the generator is turned off around 23.00 in the evening.
We also have a drying room. Located in a separate building next to the generator.
Opening hours
Seasons Reindalseter is staffed at in summer. In the off season during the rest of the year, it offers self-service lodging, available by using the DNT cabin key.
How to get here
Summer The easiest is to drive Zakariasdammen and walk from there.
With public transport you can take the bus to Valldal or Tafjord, but then you need to hike or take a taxi to Zakariasdammen.
There are off course alternatives to come walking from other DNT-huts in Tafjordfjella.
Winter You can ski through Tafjordfjella from various directions. Make sure you are well prepared for an adventure in wintertime.
Accomodation
The best way to book your stay at Reindalseter is to use our online booking. But you can also contact us by email or phone.
Everyone who come to Reindalseter Turisthytte will be able to get meals and accommodation. There is normally always room in the DNT cabins, but sometimes only simple logdes for drop-ins. So, if it is important for you to get a room or bed we strongly recommend you to make a reservation through our online-booking.
All reservations are with full board, including threecourse dinner, breakfast and a self-packed lunch with warm or cold drink. If you want to make a reservation for a group (i.e. min 10 persons) or for special arrangements, please send us an email.
DOG: If you are traveling with a dog, please contact us. Dog is allowed on some of our rooms, but not at all!

Cancellation policy If a stay is canceled up to 8 days before arrival, the amount paid, minus an admin fee of NOK 300, will be refunded.
Cancellations made 0-7 days prior to arrival will be charged in full.
Benefits of being a member
If you are a DNT member, you get a discount on both accommodation and food at our cabins.
If you stay overnight for more than 2 days you will save up the price of the membership. With the membership you will receive discount on accommodation at DNT's 580 cabins. You will also receive discount on outdoor equipment and on DNT tours.
The membership fee also contributes to support our work marking and clearing paths in all our areas. With the support we are able to operate the DNT huts, arrange trips and facilitate good experiences in our forests and mountains.
