How to Get to Snøheim
To reach Snøheim, you must use the shuttle bus departing from Hjerkinn.
Shuttle Bus to Snøheim
All visitors must take the shuttle bus to the cabin. Private vehicles are not permitted on the road unless prior arrangements have been made with the cabin. The shuttle bus service is implemented to minimize vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic along the road to protect the local ecosystem.

Public Transport
Trains run from both the south and north to Hjerkinn Station. From the station, take the pre-booked shuttle bus to Snøheim.

Park at Hjerkinn/Hjerkinnhus and take the pre-booked shuttle bus to Snøheim.
Accessibility Parking
Visitors with limited mobility who hold a valid disability parking permit (HC card) can apply to the National Park Administration at sfinpost@statsforvalteren.no for permission to drive their private vehicle to Snøheim.
Cycling Regulations
Snøheimvegen road is located within a protected area with specific travel restrictions to protect the wild reindeer population:
Standard Bicycles: Permitted on Snøheimvegen from June 1 to July 15 only. Cycling is prohibited during the rest of the year.
E-Bikes: Prohibited on Snøheimvegen at all times. E-bikes are classified as motorized transport within the protected area, meaning they are not allowed even during the period when standard cycling is permitted.
