Bjørnhollia

Bjørnhollia is situated in the southern part of Rondane, surrounded by sheltered valleys and mountain terrain.

The traditional courtyard (tun) at Bjørnhollia is highly regarded and has been awarded an architectural preservation and design prize (byggeskikkpris) as one of the most aesthetically complete cabin sites in the Norwegian mountains.

Self-Service Quarters to Close Permanently After Easter 2026

To improve living conditions for the wild reindeer in Rondane, the Ministry of Climate and Environment has adopted a regional action plan. As part of this plan, the self-service quarters at Grimsdalshytta, Rondvassbu, and Bjørnhollia will permanently close after Easter 2026. This measure is implemented to protect the wild reindeer during highly vulnerable periods, including late autumn, midwinter, and the spring calving season.
