Member Benefits
DNT members receive discounts on both accommodation and meals.
- If you stay for more than two nights, the savings generally cover the cost of your annual membership.
- Membership supports DNT’s work in maintaining trails and operating 600 cabins across Norway.
- Members also receive discounts on outdoor equipment and organized tours.
Room Types and Linen Regulations
- Linen: Sleeping bags are not permitted in the bedrooms. You must bring your own sleeping bag liner (sheet bag) and pillowcase, or rent bed linen at the cabin.
- Linen Rental: Bed linen can be rented for NOK 175 (towel included).
Private Rooms
We do not offer single rooms. You can book a single bed in a smaller room, but you cannot reserve an entire room for solo use.
- 2- to 3-bed rooms: Standard 2-bed rooms, and 3-bed rooms equipped with a family bunk bed (wider bottom bunk).
- 4- to 6-bed rooms: Rooms suitable for families and larger groups.
Dormitory (Sovesal)
The dormitory features a mix of individual single beds and semi-private compartments.
Beds 1–8: Standard single beds.
Two-person berths: Designed for two people traveling together. The following pairs share a screened sleeping alcove:
Beds 9–10, 11–12, 13–14, 15–16, 17–18, 19–20, and 21–22.
Dog-Friendly Rooms
We have three rooms designated for guests traveling with dogs. These must be booked in advance.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 8 or more days before arrival: Full refund, minus an administrative fee of NOK 300. (For example: A stay starting on a Friday must be cancelled no later than the Thursday of the previous week by 11:59 PM).
- Cancellations made 0–7 days before arrival: No refund will be given.
- Important: The cancellation policy applies regardless of weather, road conditions, or illness. We recommend having travel insurance.
- Separate terms and conditions apply to groups, corporate bookings, organized tours, and special events.
- All cancellations must be handled directly with the cabin.
(Please note that it is always possible to arrive at the cabin without a prior booking; all hikers will be provided with shelter).
