Many of our unmanned DNT cabins in Oslomarka and by the Oslofjord are popular and have plenty of visitors. But among the 42 cabins we have, there are some hidden cabin gems we think deserve a little extra attention and more guests. In this article, we have therefore collected cabins that may go a little under the radar and who would like to have a visit from you!

This gem of a cabin is located right by Råbjørn - the water that offers both canoeing opportunities and swimming! The cabin is only 200 meters from the road, which is open during the summer months, and is therefore absolutely perfect for a summer trip out into beautiful nature.
Halvorsenhytta in Vestmarka

Halvorsenhytta is nicely located with a view of Skaugumåsen and the Oslo Fjord. The cabin was built in 1899, but is a large and beautiful cabin with nice outdoor areas and a spacious living room and living room.
Wentzelhytta in Kjekstadmarka

Bøvelstad is an old smallholding located in a beautiful bay - close to Børtervann, which is one of the largest lakes in Østmarka. The cabin has a good standard and can accommodate 17 people. The cabin offers a canoe when booking accommodation.

Jørgenhytta is a nice log cabin located in the middle of Krokskogen. The cabin is easily accessible all year round, whether you go on foot, get on your bike or strap on your skis.
Øvresaga in Østmarka

Øvresaga is an old smallholding and is beautifully situated in an open grazing landscape in Rausjøgrenda in the south of Østmarka. The cabin is close to Børtervann, which is one of the largest lakes in Østmarka. There are three canoes available for overnight guests.

This charming log cabin is located in the far north of Romeriksåsene and is as close as you get to the definition of a charming log cabin. The cabin has a historical feel, is an old farm house with a history dating back to the 1800s and was newly renovated in the autumn of 2024.
