Rondane

Rondane is a traditional mountain area and contains Norway's oldest national park. The region has long-standing traditions for both hikers and skiers, and its oldest touring cabin, Rondvassbu, was built in 1927. The area features several peaks above 2,000 meters, all of which are accessible without climbing equipment.

SAGA is DNT's long-haul route from Lillehammer to Snøhetta. 220 km over Ringebufjellet, through Rondane and Dovrefjell. All on the Norwegian Trekking Association's marked trails, with accommodation in serviced and self-service cabins.

The Rondande Trail stretches from Bjørvika in Oslo to Hjerkinn in Dovre and offers a long hike through cultural landscapes, forested hills, soft eastern mountains and high peaks in Rondane.
