About Sandhaug
Sandhaug is a staffed DNT lodge located centrally on the Hardangervidda high mountain plateau, situated along the lake Nordmannslågen.
Sandhaug is located on Northern Europe's largest high mountain plateau. In front of you is Nordmannslågen and on the other side of the water the mountains rise.
Summer Season 2026
Opening Dates: Friday, June 26 to Sunday, September 6.

During the summer, guests can swim in Nordmannslågen or rent a rowboat. The lake offers excellent trout fishing, and the catch of the day is frequently served for dinner the very same evening. It doesn't get more locally sourced than that.

Wildlife Protection: Wild Reindeer Habitats

Please take extra precautions, minimize noise, and follow the specific guidelines for traversing wild reindeer territory.
