The current hosts at Sandhaug are Svein Arne Tyssebotn and Oda Mykkeltvedt.
Sandhaug has been run by Svein Arne’s family for generations. His grandparents, Marit and Sylfest, managed the lodge for 40 years. Following them, his mother Rigmor and Edvard held the position for 4 years, before Svein Arne's father took over from 2008 until 2020. Svein Arne grew up at Sandhaug, acquired extensive knowledge of the lodge and the surrounding area, and officially succeeded as the host in 2021.
Oda Mykkeltvedt entered the hospitality and mountain operations sector in 2016, when she and Svein Arne jointly took over the management of Mårbu Turisthytte. After gaining five years of operational experience running Mårbu, she joined Svein Arne to manage Sandhaug.
