Short-distance family adventure in Lysebotn
Lysebotn is the perfect place to go on a family trip. Young and old will find plenty of activities to enjoy, and it is the best place to combine hiking, activity and coziness. The energy trip, pole hunting, goldfish hunting, fishing, swimming, paddling and frisbee golf, here you just have to choose. And in addition, there is football, kubb, trampoline and the local playground, combined with a deck chair in the garden. Finish with a good dinner in the restaurant and some games in the fireplace lounge before bedtime. Can it get any better?

Our suggestion for a three-day trip to Lysebotn
Day 1
Park the car at Lauvvik, Forsand or Songesand and take the express boat into Lysebotn. Remember that there is no boat on Saturdays. It is also possible to take a bus to Lauvvik or Forsand. See under access. The express boat arrives in Lysebotn around 3 pm, so then you have the whole afternoon and evening to get to know Lysebotn. Check in to the room, and feel free to let the children choose the color of the building they want to stay in. This should be done before arrival, so show them photos and send us an email. We adapt as long as it is available. There are four colors to choose from; red, blue, purple and green. See pictures below.
Use the afternoon to get to know Lysebotn. Ask for a map of the Energy Trail and walk parts of it, or download the pole hunting app, and see how many of the 35 poles you find before dinner. Or take a walk along the river or check out the playground.
Eat an early dinner so that you have some time to play a little afterwards. If the children think it is a long time to wait for the food, send them out on a goldfish hunt, and time will pass quickly. Ask the waiter for a form. After dinner, you can play kubb, badmington, crocket or football, or borrow games and sit in our cozy living room on the second floor.
Day 2
After a good breakfast (remember that it is a good idea to make packed lunches), we recommend that you start or continue on the Energy Trail. Take breaks along the way, there is a lot to do along the way. You can bring your swimwear and swim in a pool, rent frisbees and play a little on the course inside the valley, explore Kaldahålå or climb the big rocks.
Back after the trip, it can certainly tempt you to take a swim in the river or in the fjord, and simply relax a little in the garden. Let the children finish the goldfish hunt and they will each get their own ice cream. Remember that there is a prize for those who complete the entire Energy Trail.
Eat an early dinner today too, and spend the rest of the evening enjoying yourselves together. Maybe fish a little in the fjord and watch the sun go down, or play games outside or inside. If you fancy a little walk, the waterfall on the other side of the river is only 15 minutes away.
Day 3
After breakfast, it's check-out, and then it might be fun to rent a canoe, SUP board or pedal boat and enjoy yourself in the fjord. Skip the packed lunch today, and instead eat lunch in the restaurant.
Around 3 p.m., it's time to leave Lysebotn for this time. If you are not ready to go home, we can recommend a trip to Flørli or Bakken Gard.
