Historical hiking routes
Almost everywhere there are traces of those who have walked and used nature before us. Historical hiking routes are a collaboration between DNT and the Directorate for Cultural Heritage, which makes old routes better known and more used. The selected routes give you great outdoor experiences in combination with unique cultural heritage.
Explore the history of the trails and discover cultural monuments along the way
Explore Norway's Historic Trails
The ravages of time have long since worn away many of our ancient routes, but visible roads and diverse cultural monuments still remain carved into our landscape. You can experience these firsthand along DNT's Historical Hiking Routes.
