Hiking in Sylan: 4 spectacular cabin to cabin hikes
Discover Sylan, a boundless mountain paradise stretching across the Norwegian-Swedish border. From the iconic "Norway across" expedition to stunning multi-day cabin to cabin hikes around the majestic Syl massif, explore our curated guide to the best hikes in the region.
The Sylan mountain range spans the border between Trøndelag in Norway and Jämtland in Sweden. At the heart of this region, the majestic Syl massif rises dramatically above the vast, sweeping plateaus that surround lakes Esandsjøen and Nesjøen. Here, you can hike for days along a continuous, seamless network of trails and welcoming cabins on both sides of the border.
Below are four handpicked multi-day routes where you can experience the very best of this (cross-)border wilderness.
