Discounted stays at over 600 cabins
As a member of DNT, you get a discount on accommodation and food at all the Norwegian Trekking Association cabins across the country. Children and youth get half price on accommodation at the DNT cabins.
For many hikers, the ultimate motivation after a long day on the trail is the cabin waiting at the end of the hike. There is nothing quite like taking off your hiking boots, feeling the warmth of the fireplace radiate from the timber walls, and having a hot meal served.
As a DNT member, you get a discount on both lodging and meals at all our cabins nationwide. Around 40 of these are staffed lodges (betjente hytter), complete with local hosts and full meal service. Children and youth always get half price on accommodation.
Members can also get their own standard DNT cabin key to access our no-service (ubetjente) and self-service (selvbetjente) cabins. Our self-service cabins feature a well-stocked food pantry, allowing you to hike with a lighter backpack and buy your ingredients along the way. With over 600 unique locations to choose from, you can visit a brand-new cabin every single time you head out!
