ReTuren Repair Workshop in Bergen
ReTuren is DNT’s own sewing and repair workshop. You can drop off your old Gore-Tex jacket, shell pants, backpack, or sleeping bag, and we will fix it for you. Our goal is to extend the lifespan of outdoor clothing and gear, contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive outdoor lifestyle.
Master Repairer Morten Wanvik
The Bergen workshop is run by Master Repairer Morten Wanvik and Marie Årsland Bruce. They take great pride and joy in repairing your gear to a high standard.
Additionally, ReTuren Repair Workshop offers redesign services, using textiles from donated clothing and equipment to create new products. If you have an old jacket you are planning to throw away, please donate it to ReTuren instead—it might just turn into a new cushion cover at the Gullhorgabu cabin!
Drop-off and Pricing
If you have outdoor clothing or gear that needs fixing, you can drop it off at the DNT Tour Centre (Tursenteret) in Marken, located at Tverrgaten 4-6. You can find our opening hours here: [link].
The price depends on the nature of the repair. Fixing a zipper slider starts at NOK 300. Replacing an entire zipper costs between NOK 1,000 and 1,500—a very affordable solution compared to buying a brand-new shell jacket for NOK 7,000.
All DNT members receive a 15% discount. The maximum turnaround time for repairs is two weeks.
