Lysten på å besøke den høyeste «Fjellkyrkja» i landet? Tverrådalskyrkja er en majestetisk 2000-meterstopp i Breheimen nasjonalpark, og blir kalt "dronninga av Breheimen". Toppen er den høyeste i Breheimen og er tilgjengelig som dagstur fra Sota Sæter.

When is the best time to go?
The trip is nice to go on foot after the snow has melted in June, until the days start to get short at the end of September. In winter, March, April and May will be preferable.

Approx. 20 km round trip (9.4 km. up to the top)

Fit people who are used to mountains and used to scrambling in scree
Can you go to Tverrådalskyrkja with children?
Yes, children who are used to the mountains who are motivated for a long and exciting trip, where you partly go off the path and split in scree, should be fine with this trip.
Can you walk Tverrådalskyrkja with a dog?
Dogs that are used to rocks and clocks should be able to handle this trip just fine
Is there a trail the whole trip?
No. Follow the marked route to Fortundalsbreen which is located at about 1500 meters. From there it is your last meters to the top (See tour description
Is there mobile coverage throughout the trip?
You mostly have mobile coverage with Telenor on this trip
Can you fill water along the way?
Yes. The last place to fill water is at Styggdalsvatnet. Be careful not to fill glacial water from the stream that flows from Fortundalsbreen!
Should I go to Tverrådalskyrkja if I have a fear of heights?
You can do that. It is only the summit at the cairn that can be perceived as a little airy, the rest of the trip goes in nice, varied terrain.
Is there a toilet on the trip?
There are no toilets along the hike, so if you have to do your business along the way, walk a good distance away from the trail and keep a good distance from streams and water. Take the trash back to a trash can.
Is it possible to walk Tverrådalskyrkja in the winter?
Yes! This is a great ski trip!
Should I use a guide to Tverrådalskyrkja?
