Lysefjorden Turisthytte is a staffed cabin welcoming travelers from May through October. We offer a variety of accommodation options to suit your budget, from comfortable private rooms with en-suite showers and toilets to budget-friendly multi-bed rooms. The lodge also features wheelchair-accessible rooms and dedicated pet-friendly options.
During your stay, beautifully prepared local meals are served in our welcoming main-building restaurant. Start your day with a refreshing morning swim in the crystal-clear Lysefjord, and wind down as the evening peace descends in our cozy fireplace lounge.
Lysebotn is located at the inner end of the Lysefjord, surrounded by steep mountains. Situated next to the ferry landing, the tourist cabin serves as a starting point for both short day walks and longer mountain treks.
The cabin offers convenient access to several regional highlights. It is a common base camp for hikes to Kjerag and the Flørli Stairs (4444 steps), and it is located midway along the "Lysefjorden Rundt" route.

Bed linen included
For hygiene reasons, personal sleeping bags are not allowed at the lodge. Fresh bed linen is included in the room rate.
Traveling with dogs
Dogs are welcome in dedicated rooms. Please contact us in advance to check availability for these specific rooms.
Note: Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on the cabin grounds. An additional cleaning fee of NOK 100 per night applies.
