Accommodation at the DNT cabins can be booked via DNT's cabin booking page. Here you get a quick and easy overview of which cabins are available for your chosen dates.
You can find information about opening hours and options for booking for each cabin on the cabin pages on UT.no. Here you will see if it is possible to book the cabin online or not. Look for the button "Bestill overnatting" on the relevant cabin page.
In the search field, you can enter the cabin name, desired area, municipality or county
Enter date and number of people
If you have chosen a specific cabin, you will now be taken directly to the cabin page where you can read about the cabin and book accommodation. If you have chosen to do so, you can skip to point 7/8 in this guide.
If you have selected an area, municipality or county, you will get a map result. All the cabins within your chosen area will appear on the map. Here you will also see the symbol for whether the cabin is serviced, self-service or unmanned.
The cabins that have the red DNT color have free space for at least everyone in your travel party on the specified date. The ones that are grey, are not available for your entire travel party (or are closed for the specified period).
When you click on a cabin in the map - or in the list view, you will get a small fact box about the cabin, and can click on book accommodation
Now you will see a list of what is available at the specified cabin on the specified date. It can be anything from single beds to the entire cabin. This depends on which cabin you are going to visit. If it is single beds you are going to order, you must find the beds you want, and put one by one in the shopping cart. Once you have added as many beds as there are people in your party, the shopping cart will automatically appear. In other cases, it may be a single cabin, or separate rooms that need to be booked. Then you have the option to add the number of people on that device (room or cabin), and then add it to the shopping cart. This is where you also add other things such as dog cages, hot tubs, etc.
In the shopping cart, you can view and optionally remove products. If you have what you want there, you can click on Proceed to order.
Now you have to choose the price per person. Here you choose the right price based on whether the guest is a member or not, and the age of the guest.
Once you've filled in the details for all guests, click Complete booking.
You will now need to log in to pay. Enter your phone number or email address and click Get Code.
Enter the received code in the code field.
Fill in information about you as the orderer.
Click on Complete booking and follow the steps to pay with your credit card.
When you have paid, you will receive an email with confirmation and a receipt. It is important to have this with you on a trip.
If you are going to book several cabins, you must repeat this process.
