Activities for the whole family
Fishing in Northern Europe’s best Arctic char waters
Nesjøen offers fantastic fishing opportunities both from the shoreline and by boat. Best of all, children under the age of 16 fish for free without needing a license. Nesjøen is widely known among fishing enthusiasts as one of the finest Arctic char lakes in Northern Europe.
Boats and canoes
Boats can be borrowed at Lake Nesjøen (located about 2 km south of the cabin), and canoes are available for rent directly from Nedalshytta. The area offers a beautiful canoe route that is well-sheltered from the wind (as it can quickly breeze up on the open waters of Nesjøen).
Summit tours
If you want to treat the kids to a real summit hike, Neklumpen (6.3 km) rises right behind the cabin. It is an easy, rewarding hike for most children and a fantastic way to spark a lifelong love for peak bagging.
Natural swimming spots
If the summer weather gets warm, head for the crystal-clear natural mountain pools at Nordskardsfjellet. Here, you can hike uphill, cooling off as you jump from pool to pool.
