How to get to Breheimen by bus
Breheimen National Park offers fantastic hiking opportunities, with spectacular peaks and glaciers. The mountain area is located between Highway 15 over Strynefjellet and County Road 55 over Sognefjellet. Express buses east-west take you to the start of the tour in Breheimen. During the summer holidays, it is possible to book bus transport all the way to Sota Sæter.
The serviced DNT cabins Sota Sæter and Nørdstedalseter are located in Breheimen and are a good starting point for trips in this beautiful mountain area.
How to get to Nørdstedalseter
By bus
Summer access
A road (no toll) leads all the way to the cabin during the summer season. Daily bus services from Oslo to Fortun are also available. From Fortun, you can take a taxi or hike up to the cabin.
Winter access
You can travel by bus or car to Sota Sæter. During Easter, a dedicated DNT bus operates from Oslo to Sota Sæter. From there, it is approximately 27 km along a marked winter route to the cabin.
There are also marked winter routes from Turtagrø and from Krossbu/Sognefjellshytta. You can take a bus from Oslo or Bergen via Sogndal to Fortun, and continue by car or taxi to Turtagrø.

NX 146 Oslo-Måløy/ Oslo-Ulsteinvik stops in Bismo.
Inland traffic route 143 runs from Otta to Dønfoss (corresponds with train)
