Appelsinhytta
A pleasant excursion for those seeking an easy route or traveling with children. Begin at Finsehytta and follow the marked trails across Finsevann. After approximately 3 kilometers of gentle terrain, you'll reach Appelsinhytta, nestled at the base of Hardangerjøkulen. Although the hut is unstaffed, on a sunny day, it's a popular spot to sit by the hut wall, enjoy your packed lunch, and savor a cup of hot cocoa in the sunshine.

The Klemsbu-round is a favorite among both guests and locals at Finse, regardless of the weather. From the train station, follow the marked trail north between Lille Finsenut and Jomfrunuten. After 6 kilometers, you'll reach Klemsbu, where simple refreshments are available on weekends during the winter season. Continue westward to complete the loop back to Finse.

The tour over Hardangerjøkulen is a fantastic ski trip and nature experience, becoming a spring classic here at Finse. This spectacular 23 km journey takes you to the top of Norway's sixth largest glacier, Hardangerjøkulen. The highest point is at 1863 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views in all directions on clear days. Remember to adjust your plans according to the weather and snow conditions. This is a trip best suited for days with good weather.

A great year-round hike with possibly the best view in all of Finse. This accessible peak is perfect for a morning hike before catching the train home. Follow the marked trail towards Geiterygghytta until you reach the power lines. From there, follow the power lines into the gap between Lille- and Store Finsenut, then turn left towards the summit. This route is also popular for ski touring.

Store Finsenut lies to the right of Lille Finsenut. There are several routes to the summit, but many choose to ascend the ridge on the mountain's northern side and descend westward. This is a fantastic hike through varied terrain, ideal for ski touring as well.
