Pilgrims
Sæteren Gård is a self-service cabin located in Bærumsmarka along the pilgrim trail. We provide five cabins for Pilgrims who are on their way to Trondheim. The cabins have room for 3-4 adults.
Please note that all bookings have to be made in advance, either by email or our online booking system. We offer all pilgrims DNT member-price: 780 NOK/cabin. Book your stay here.
The cabins
The cabins does not have water or electricity installed, but they are equipped with all that trekkers need for cooking and sleeping: Firewood, gas, kitchen utensils, duvets and pillows (bed linen is required).
Rental times: 2 pm – 2 pm
Terms of cancellation:
Up to 5 days before arrival: Free cancellation of the entire order
4-0 days before arrival: The entire total amount in the order confirmation will be charged
We do not provide food or supplies so our guest have to bring whatever they may need along with them.
You'll find water at the main yard: Use the tap at the disabled toilet at Sovehuset.
Keys
The keys to your unit is in the mailbox at Stabburet. Please see your order confirmation for the code for the mailbox.
Cleaning
The cabins: Tenants must clean and wash all used areas before departure. All cabins have washing facilities. All rubbish must be taken out and thrown in the recycling bins at the courtyard. Do not leave any food in the cabins.
Access and parking
From Øverland
The most popular starting point for a trip to Sæteren Gård is Øverland. From here it is 2 km to walk, either by road or path. The road from Øverland is well suited for strollers and bicycles. The road is closed with a barrier, and with the exception of disabled transport, there is no opportunity to drive on this road.
Bus: Bus 150 (Gullhaug/Oslo Bus Terminal). Get off at Åsterud bus stop.
Parking: Øverland parking lot, Gamle Ringeriksvei 122. Use the car park for loading/unloading and parking. It is important that there is no loading/unloading or parking at Øverland Farm or at Øverland kindergarten. The parking at Øverland is marked with a parking ban between 12 am and 6 am. By agreement with Bærum Municipality, all overnight guests at Sæteren Gård are allowed to park at this parking lot, without a parking permit and without the risk of being towed away.
