Grading on trips and activities with DNT
Are you unsure how demanding the trips are? Most of DNT's guided tours and activities are marked with both who the trip is suitable for and how demanding it is. Read carefully about the difficulty and level of the trip in advance. Then it is easier to choose the right trip for you.
It is important that you familiarize yourself with the grading on the trip. Pay particular attention to whether there are requirements for skills and the use of equipment. Then assess your own participation based on the information provided in the activity/trip description
Please note that the different levels below are only general gradings, which are not necessarily suitable for all trips and activities and where the terrain can be very variable. A summit hike, for example, can be just a short day trip, but graded as demanding. Therefore, contact the responsible association for more detailed information.

Important information about winter walks
The winter mountains are beautiful, but capricious. Even the simplest ski trip can be very demanding with challenging skiing conditions and a lot of weather. With the right and good equipment, it is often these trips that you remember best and that provide good unity and good stories. In the mountains, no one prepares trails, and you have to be prepared to tread tracks yourself. Pack your backpack correctly and smartly.
