Every Thursday, Anja is at her sewing machine ready to repair outdoor clothing and lightweight gear (tents, fabric components of backpacks, etc.). You can drop off the items you want repaired at your convenience during regular Tour Centre opening hours. Please remember that items must be clean. When dropping them off, you will fill out a form with your contact details and anything Anja needs to know about the item.
We always try our best to outline the price upon drop-off. However, if any clarifications are needed before Anja begins the repair, we will contact you. We love doing visible repairs with our signature red thread so you can wear your fix with pride and hopefully inspire others!

A few thoughts from Anja:
"For many people today, the idea of repairing clothes feels a bit foreign when buying new is so easy. At the same time, we know we have to reduce our consumption, and clothing is something we all need. If we start replacing new purchases by repairing and keeping some of our garments, we are helping to make a difference—both for nature and for our own awareness!
We often say that 'we are used to clothes being so cheap,' making it feel hard to justify spending money to fix them. But what if we turn that around and realize that clothes aren't actually cheap, we've just grown accustomed to paying only a tiny fraction of their true cost? Clothing costs what it costs; we are just used to that cost being paid heavily by every other link in the chain before it reaches the consumer.
Maybe it isn’t even that expensive? Perhaps the solution and the repair are easier than you think. And even if you were to pay, say, NOK 700 to save a jacket when the alternative was buying a new one for double the price, then maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all—neither for you, the people who made your clothes, nor the environment."
We are part of ReTuren.
Fix everything. Always.
