
How to get to Langsua by train and bus
Langsua National Park is a beautiful mountain area located between Valdres and Gudbrandsdalen. There are several roads that will take you to this nice hiking area. Here is an overview of the possibilities to get to Langsua by public transport.
It is nice to start trips into Langsua with a starting point from Lillehammer in the east or from Beitostølen or Yddin in the west. You can also start from Gjendesheim and walk south-east towards Sikkilsdalseter and further towards Oskampen.
With a little planning, there are good opportunities to take a round trip in Langsua, without bringing a car.
From Lillehammer summer:
By train and bus to Liomseter
From 21 June to 5 September 2024, guests can take a bus from Lillehammer to Liomseter on Thursdays and Sundays. The offer is also valid on the Friday of the opening weekend. Read more about the bus service here
On other days of the week, you can take the train to Lillehammer, and then bus 140 to Segalstad Bridge.
The buses depart from Lillehammer bus station every half hour, but it can be smart to double-check with Innlandstrafikk as the routes can vary in the summer.

By train and bus to Espedalen
Train to Lillehammer and continue with local bus no. 140 and 5024 to Espedalen Fjellhotell or Dalseter høyfjellshotell. From here you can walk the T-marked path into the self-service cabin Storhøliseter. About 3 hours to enter.

From Lillehammer winter:
By train and bus
Train to Lillehammer and bus to Espedalen Fjellhotell. From there it is about 15 km on skis to Storhøliseter.

By bus summer
Heggenes/Yddin
With the Valdres explosion against Beitostølen, get off at the stop Heggenes. From here it is 13 km to Yddin, and it is good to pre-book a taxi. From Yddin, you can follow the DNT marked path towards the cabins Storeskag or Haldorbu.
Valdresflya, Jotunheimen
Take the bus via Beitostølen and further over Valdresflya. From Valdresflya or Gjendesheim you can follow the T-marked path towards Sikkilsdalen and Oskampen.

By bus winter
Heggenes/Yddin
With the Valdres explosion against Beitostølen, get off at the stop Heggenes. From here it is 13 km to Yddin, and it is good to pre-book a taxi. From Yddin, you can follow a twig winter trail towards the cabins Storeskag or Haldorbu.
Beitostølen
Take the bus via Beitostølen and follow cross-country trails and then branch trails towards Storeskag. This is a slightly longer hike than from Yddin, but it is a beautiful and gentle terrain. From Storeskag you can continue the trip in Langsua towards e.g. Haldorbu.
