In the heart of Langsua
Liomseter is beautifully situated in an old mountain pasture landscape, centrally located in Langsua National Park - Gausdal Vestfjell. Liomseter has been a seat for the Gausdalens for a long time. As tourist traffic increased and the mountain farm road became too long, DNT was asked to take over the cabin. Today, the cabin appears modern and solid, decorated in a traditional style.
Facilities
The cabin has a total of 51 beds, with 2-, 3-, 4-bed rooms. The rooms are mainly located on the second floor of the main building.
There is generator and solar power in the cabin. Newly renovated showers, toilets and drying rooms can be found in the basement of the main building. Liomseter also has a pretty cozy outdoor toilet.
The cabin has a central heating system with waterborne heating. In addition, there are two pleasant fireplaces, one in the living room and one at the reception.
We will do our best to ensure that YOU have a pleasant and memorable stay!
Practical information
Ofte stilte spørsmål
Is Liomseter a suitable place for families with children?
The short answer is yes. In the summer, there is a road all the way to the cabin, and the terrain around is easy for small feet, and large feet with a baby carrier/backpack. The area offers rich nature, with good fishing opportunities and exciting hiking trails. In the winter, you have the opportunity for both short and long walks, as well as play in the area around the cabin. We pick up on snowmobiles if desired.
Can you camp at Liomseter?
Yes, you can. When you pitch a tent inside the area of Liomseter, you can use the cabin just as if you live there, only that you sleep outside in your own tent. A great way to introduce kids to tent life.
Tents must be set up in designated places, so contact the staff when you arrive.
Can you book an event at Liomseter?
Yes, you can, but this must be agreed in advance. We have had both 50 years and a celebration of the wedding anniversary during Liomseter's opening hours, but you can also inquire about the possibilities when the cabin is closed.
How much does a stay at Liomseter cost?
Prices depend on membership, age and room type. Read more on the page about prices.
