Slik kommer du deg til Liomseter

Det er lett å finne fram til Liomseter. På sommeren kan man kjøre bil eller ta buss nesten helt til døra, mens man på vinteren får en fin skitur i nydelig, lettgått terreng. Det er også mulig å bestille snøscootertur inn til hytta.

Slik kommer du deg til Liomseter sommerstid:       

By car to Liomseter

In the summer, you can drive all the way to Liomseter, and it is about 65 km from Lillehammer.

From Lillehammer, follow the E6 north for a short distance and turn off towards Gausdal on fv.255. 

Follow the road to Segalstad bridge and Forset. Turn left towards Fagernes and then right just after the bridge over Jøra. Follow fv.2442 until you reach Holsbru café. Here you turn right and follow the road for approx. 22km before you arrive at Liomseter.

The road from Holsbru to Liomseter is a toll road with sign recognition. The toll fee is paid on passpay.no after you have driven from Liomseter.

From Fagernes, drive towards Lillehammer and turn left towards Liomseter at Holsbru Kafé (toll road, paid on passpay.no after you have left Liomseter). 

Note that there are no charging options for electric cars at Liomseter. The nearest charging point is at Cirkle K on Segalstad bridge.

By train and bus to Liomseter

From 23 June to 7 September 2025, guests can take a bus from Lillehammer to Liomseter on Thursdays and Sundays. Read more about the bus service here

On other days of the week, you can take the train to Lillehammer, and then bus 140 to Segalstad Bridge.

The buses depart from Lillehammer bus station every half hour, but it may be a good idea to double-check with Innlandstrafikk as the routes can vary in the summer.

From Segalstad Bridge, it is possible to order a taxi from Gausdal taxi center on tel. 61 22 02 08.

By car to Liomseter

The road to Liomseter is closed in winter, and to get here in winter you have to drive a slightly different road than in summer.

From Lillehammer, follow the E6 north for a short distance, and turn off towards Gausdal. Then follow fv. 255 to Øvre Svatsum, then turn off towards Revsjøen to Synsgardsetra (toll road, take a card). There is parking here.

From the parking lot at Synsgardsetra it is about 15 km in easy terrain into Liomseter. The first kilometers you walk in groomed ski tracks, but eventually you enter a marked trail and can follow snowmobile tracks. 

Transport by snowmobile

Contact us for transport of families with children or luggage from Synsgardsetra. The snowmobile trip costs NOK 1100 per way and takes about 50 minutes (booking via email). All transport must be arranged in advance. 

By train and bus

Train to Lillehammer and bus to Øvre Svatsum.
