In the north of Hardangervidda, the terrain is gentle and the paths are easy to walk. Here it is nice to take children on a trip. The cabins are relatively close to each other so that the days are not too long. There is a lot of water and streams along the way, which breaks up the trips and makes it exciting for children to join in the mountains.

This trip is the last leg of the long-distance route MASSIV. It is a magnificent trip and is open to anyone who has a dream of walking across the western plateau. The feeling of freedom is great when you walk in open landscape on good paths. The western plateau is more hilly than the eastern plateau, and we see Hårteigen in the distance, which is also called "The Wizard of the West" where it towers like a hat close to 1,700 meters above sea level.
