Summit hike to Snøhetta from Snøheim Turisthytte

Snøhetta is the country's highest peak outside Jotunheimen. Combine this legendary summit trip with an overnight stay at the almost equally legendary Snøheim.
Summit hike to Storstygge Svånåtinden (2206 masl)

This is a truly magnificent trip to one of the 2000-meter peaks on Dovrefjell. The trip is demanding, but offers fantastic views of the entire mountain area.
The classic trip to Snøhetta goes to the east peak, but what many people don't know is that the west peak provides a perhaps better hiking experience. And the view from the top is described as Dovrefjellet's best view.
Skredahøin is located west of Snøheim Turisthytte and offers a great but tough hiking experience. The view from the top is amazing!
Summit hike to Storskrymten

Storskrymten is roughly the midpoint of Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park and the special thing about the peak as a hiking destination is that there is a wide range of access options both in summer and winter. A fairly long, but easy route to Storskrymten is from Skamsdalsætrin in Lesja. This is probably the shortest option in the summer, and is especially interesting if you choose to take a day trip back and forth to the top.
Mehø - nice and accessible "summit trip" on Dovrefjell

Mehø (1271 masl) is a small and easily accessible mountain peak a short distance from the E6 over Dovrefjell. From the top, you can see into Dovre National Park, Fokstumyra Nature Reserve and further into Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, with Snøhetta (2286 masl) as an eye-catcher on good weather days.
