About SAGA
225 kilometers over Ringebufjellet, through Rondane and Dovrefjell. On the trip, you move on both historical and fabled ground - from the flight of the Birkebeiners with Håkon Håkonsson in the far south to the adventurous Snøhetta in the north.
Long-haul route
More and more people want to go far. Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and out into the great outdoors. So set yourself a goal, alone or with family or friends and carry out SAGA as you want. Create your own STORY.
The entire route goes along the Norwegian Trekking Association's marked trails and you spend the night in valet and self-service cabins. You therefore do not have to carry a tent, sleeping bag and food, and can pack as light as possible. When you have walked the entire route, you get a rightful place in our Hall of Fame, you also get the opportunity to buy the SAGA badge and a t-shirt as proof of the feat.
Map
Before you go on a trip, it is important that you get the hiking maps that apply to SAGA and that you plan well. Maps can be purchased at the Tursenteret in Storgata 3, or via our online store.
