Finsehytta has 174 beds, divided into smaller and larger rooms. The rooms are of a basic standard, with bunk beds. Showers and toilets are shared with other guests. Finsehytta also has a drying room. Feel free to book your stay via our online booking or contact us by email or phone.

DNT's offer
Bed linen/linen bag and towel
Guests can bring their own bed linen or linen bag, sleeping bags are not allowed in the cabin.
Bed linen and towels can be rented at the cabin:
- Rent Bed linen 160,- incl towels.
- Towels only: 50,-
Facilities
Room types
We have smaller and larger rooms at Finsehytta:
- Smaller rooms: 2-, 3-, and 4-bed rooms.
- Larger rooms: 6-, 7-, and 10-bed rooms.
All rooms have bunk beds. Some three-bed rooms have bunk beds with a double bed downstairs.
Unfortunately, we do not have single rooms. It is possible to book a bed in a smaller room, but not the entire room alone.

Dog room
Order
To book accommodation with a dog, select "dog room" in our online booking. You must add "Dog in room" NOK 150 for each dog. This is a lump sum and not per night.

Our dog rooms
We only have 4 bed and 6 bed rooms available for accommodation with dogs, these are located in Brebua. We have dog cages that can be borrowed. The dogs should NOT be in the beds. It may happen that the rooms are filled with other guests if there are beds available.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in rooms beyond this, or in common areas.
Tent
It is not possible to set up a tent outside Finsehytta or in Finsebygda. However, it is possible to sleep in a tent on the south side of Finsevann, and it costs nothing.
Tenters are very welcome to use Finsehytta's facilities, such as shower and drying room for a fee. If anyone wants to order dinner/breakfast, just contact the reception. Meals can be ordered on the day.
Families with children
Finsehytta is a nice place for families with children. At Finsehytta we have, among other things, cots available so you don't have to bring your own, and in the dining room we have high chairs.
For those who are looking for a little extra fun, we have butt boards and sliding mats to borrow in winter. There are many nice slopes in the area around the cabin. If you are planning a trip in the summer with children who are not old enough to walk on their own, it is great to know that the navvy road is stroller-friendly so you can take the little ones on adventures in beautiful surroundings.
Skarverennet and 17 May
Stays at Skarverennet and on 17 May can be booked at hyttebestilling.dnt.no, but it is only possible to book stays from 19 - 21 April for Skarverennet and from 16 - 18 May for 17 May weekends. NOTE we are open until May 20 this year (2024)

It should pay to be a member
If you are a DNT member, you get a discount on both accommodation and food.
If you are going to stay for more than 2 nights, you will save back the membership. At the same time, you support DNT's work with facilitating trips and good experiences in the mountains.
As a member of DNT, you get, among other things, a membership price on DNT's 550 cabins, a discount on outdoor equipment and on DNT trips. You support our work to mark and clear trails in Marka and in the mountains and operate the DNT cabins.
Cancellation
Cancellation Policy:
- If cancelled 8 days before arrival, a full refund of the stay will be given, minus an administrative fee of NOK 300.
- (Example: Stays on Friday must be cancelled no later than Thursday the week before before 23:59)
- If cancelled 0-7 days before arrival, no refund of the stay will be given.
We remind you that it is possible to come to the cabin without booking a stay in advance.
Cancellation policy applies regardless of weather, road conditions and illness.
For groups and companies, separate terms and conditions apply.
For joint trips/courses and events, other terms and conditions apply.
