Children's Hiking Team

Every day throughout Easter, the Children's Hiking Association organizes activities for both young and old. On Easter Eve, we arrange costume races for all children with a focus on the joy of skiing. All participants will be rewarded for their efforts.

Concert with Petter Braaten

On Maundy Thursday, Petter Braaten comes and entertains at Finsehytta. There will also be a small mini-quiz with prizes!

Skiing

From Finsehytta, you can follow the twiggly trails south on Hardangervidda, or north into Skarvheimen. The trails to Klemsbu, the Orange Cabin and the round trip over Hardangerjøkulen, are popular twigged day trips. We offer rental of sleds and snowshoes. There are also many popular mountain peaks in the area that are suitable for both mountain skiing and randonee.

Drop-in Kite Course

Finse is an eldorado for kiters and ski sailors. It is a special feeling to let the wind carry you across Finsevann when most people might have stayed inside. Skikite holds Drop-in kite courses throughout Easter! Registration at the reception.

Outdoor area

At Easter, you can buy refreshments in our snow bar! Here we sell ice cream, soft drinks and freshly baked swallows with homemade jam. We also have a children's ski play area with a toboggan run, four in a row, and much more. Our fire pit is also a nice place to relax at Easter. After a long ski trip, there is nothing better than gathering around the fire with a view of the majestic Hardangerjøkulen. If you want to barbecue, this can be ordered in the morning of the same day at the reception.
