If you wish to hike from cabin to cabin, there are many beautiful routes that pass through Finsehytta and continue into Skarvheimen or Hardangervidda. One notable route is the Signature MASSIV, which includes a stop at Finsehytta.

Weekedtrip north on Hardangervidda

A wonderful "car-free" hike in the northern part of Hardangervidda, perfect for a long weekend from Finsehytta to Haugastøl.

The journey begins with a challenging 26 km stage along Hardangerjøkulen to Kjeldebu, rewarding you with fantastic views and varied terrain. The stage from Kjeldebu to Krekkja is significantly shorter and takes you through exciting valleys and rivers. The adventure concludes with a final hike from Krekkja to Haugastøl with Hallingskarvet as an impressive backdrop. A hike with unforgettable natural experiences and challenges for all ages!

Medvind - From the mountains in Finse to the Fjord in Aurlandsdalen

The mountain road to Aurlandsdalen offers natural experiences with great contrasts, from rocky landscapes to lush deep valleys, from majestic mountains to roaring waterfalls. An exciting and popular adventure that can also suit children who enjoy challenges and longer hikes.

From Aurlandsdalen Turisthytte, the most spectacular part of the hike begins. For families with children, the route via Vetlavatnet is recommended, as it is a bit less demanding. Along the way, you can visit Vetlahelvete and Sinjarheim to meet the goats and taste real goat cheese.
