Join us on skis or snowshoes through the winter landscape at Finse! Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, we have a tour to suit your skill and fitness level. Choose your own adventure – whether it's a leisurely snowshoeing trip, or an exciting ski trip.
After the trip, we go down to the fire pit at Finsehytta. Here you can enjoy something cold in your glass and watch the sun set behind Hardangerjøkulen.
Tour suggestions
Tour 1: Snowshoeing to Lille Finsenut or Jomfrunuten
Experience winter at Finse on snowshoes! The trip goes to Lille Finsenut or Jomfrunut, where we explore frozen waterfalls and look at fantastic snow formations. After pedaling our way up to the top, we get an impressive view of the majestic Hardangerjøkulen. This relaxing tour lasts between 3 and 5 hours, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tranquility of nature. We have snowshoes for rent.
Tour 2: Ski trip to Hardangerjøkulen and Søre Kongsnut
For the adventurous, you can join a ski trip to Hardangerjøkulen, via Blåisen and up to Søre Kongsnut. Prepare yourself for a trip that gives you a challenge or two, but in return gives you fantastic views over large parts of southwest Norway. This trip takes 5-7 hours, and is a perfect opportunity to explore the incredible landscape around Finse. Bring your own skis, either backcountry skis or randonee.

My name is Ade, and I can't wait to be your guide! I live in Finse, but am originally from Scottland. For over 30 years, I've been helping people explore mountain ranges all over the world – from the Alps to the Rockies, from the Himalayas to the Andes, and now, magical Norway. My priority is your safety, so you can enjoy the nature at Finse without worrying.
